In Australian society the most frequent work time was 9-5 on mon-fri, allowing the majority of society to share the same leisure time. Though 9-5 is still the most common work hours in Australia. Through societies change overtime mainstream society now has a variety of positions in the workforce such as shift work, casual work, seasonal work, telecommunicating and unpaid work, such as motherhood. These different positions alter the time for leisure and therefore vary the leisure activities available for each individual. Institutionalisation or commercialisation of leisure and Technology interrelate due to Change and continuity over time. Australian society is much more modernised then Indonesia allowing for a larger range in the entertainment area of leisure with, the Cinema’s, theme parks, shopping centres and 3 televisions in almost every home.
