Casino Movie Review
...s a temper and dangerous mobster who uses his weight around town. Eventually he forms his own gang and draws too much attention causing stand offs between him and Ace. Even though Ace is a harsh man strictly down to business, when it comes to Ginger (Sharon Stone) his wife, he doesn’t know how to handle her. At first the two were enjoying each other, than she started to fall in love with her criminal minded ex, played by James Woods. Her cost full expenses not only caused harm to their marriage but also Ace’s business in Vegas. Casino is told in narration that is periodically interrupted to let the whole cast get a chance to speak. In one scene the action freezes while the actor tells why he is going to choose to what to say. Meanwhile the film is full of so many great scenes, including the first hour which is like a documentary of how casinos are run, how the Mob skims profits, and how the money is packaged and shipped from Vegas to their destination. We even see how the pit bosses and casino managers track all the players on the tables. In Casino you will get to see heads with large holes shot into them at close range where blood is gushing everywhere. Mobsters banging pens into people’s throats. Than you would see men who are killed with baseball bats with the sound of large bones snapping and then you get to see them buried alive. It’s hard to believe that it actually makes you really question yourself if you can handle those types of situations, because we know it can be done. The alcohol, cocaine and sex scenes make it look too realistic which projects the movie for mature adults and not teenagers. There is no bad acting in Casino. Stone might have played the most complex role of her career and looks to be pretty good at it. She acted a new image being an alcoholic and cocaine addict. Most of her movies have been terrible, but she does have talent and absolutely beautiful looks. De Niro is one of the best actors alive today; he’s acted as a similar character played before. Pesci's violent thug character is very much the same he played in “Goodfellas”, but more violent and cruel in Casino. Woods was a wasted loser where...
