If you are building a computer, another important part of it will be the video card. The video card allows you to display the information on the monitor. It is like the eyes of your computer. When choosing a video card that is right for you, you must ask yourself, “What will I be using this computer for?” If you answered, “for gaming,” you need a powerful video card such as the Radeon 9700 Pro or the GeForce 4 TI 4600, both requiring 128 MB of RAM. If, however, you need a hard drive for more storage and you don’t plan on playing many video games, get an older card, perhaps something with much less RAM. A better amount of RAM might be 64 MB or even 18MB. This depends on what you plan to do with your computer. The choices of video card are massive. What brand you want, how many MB of RAM, and price are all important questions.
