Can a servant be a leader?
...ers, we must first go forward and be taught the ways of our lord and savior. In the process of the teachings we are being a servant to those who are teaching us. When thinking of a servant being a leader, on example that I can think of in my life, is my friend, and my brother in Christ, Dave Scarpino. He has been a great influence in my life. I have known him for 12 some years, and I met him when I joined cub scouts. He has been my scout leader for 12 some years, and if it wasn’t for him I would not be here today writing this paper. He is a close friend of the family, and an excellent example of a servant of Christ. Not only was he a great leader in scouts, but by his example of being a servant of Christ, he not only lead me, but my brother and parents to know Jesus Christ. I believe that through his example alone that a servant can be a leader. When looking to the bible to answer the question, “can a servant be a leader?” The verse that comes to my mind is Luke 22:26. It states, “But it is not this way with you, but the one who is the greatest among you must become like the youngest, and the leader like the servant.” The verse simply states that the leader must become less like the servant, and in reverse the servant, or the lesser person must become like the greater perso...
