This category is optional and is used to further describe the Major Group. For example, the layer name Architectural Desktop Basics through Advanced Appendix A用age 5 A-GLAZ-SILL indicates an architectural Discipline Code and the Major Group glazing which can further be described with a Minor Group indicating that the layer is used for window sills. Although there is a list of common designations, this field is also defined as a user field in which you can add to the list your own specific descriptions. The following lists include the Minor Groups included with the AIA Long Format layer standard as well as additional suggestions from the AIA layer guidelines: Minor Group Codes included with the AIA Long Format layer standard Minor Group Architectural Code: Description: *-****-DIMS Dimensions *-****-IDEN Identification numbers (used with any major group to display numbering identifications) *-****-LEGN Legends and schedules *-****-NOTE Notes *-****-NPLT Non-plotting *-****-PATT Hatch patterns (associated with any major group requiring a hatch pattern) *-****-REVS Revision work *-****-SYMB Annotation symbols *-****-TTLB Title blocks Additional Minor Group Codes suggested by the AIA guidelines: Minor Group Architectural Code: Description: *-****-ACCS Access (associated with any major group) *-****-CASE Casework (associated with the FLOR major group) *-****-CLNG Ceiling items (typically associated with the EQPM major group) *-****-ELEV Elevation surfaces or 3D views (used with any major group displaying a elevation view) *-****-EVTR Elevator cars and equipment (associated with the FLOR major group) *-****-FIRE Fire patterning (associated with any major group displaying fire information) *-****-FIXT Miscellaneous Fixtures (associated with the FLOR major group) *-****-FULL Full height (associated with the WALL major group) *-****-GRID Grid (typically associated with the FLOR, CLNG, or COLS major group) *-****-HEAD Headers (associated with the DOOR and GLAZ major group) *-****-HRAL Stair and balcony handrails (associated with the FLOR major group) Architectural Desktop Basics through Advanced Appendix A用age 6 *-****-JAMB Jambs (associated with the DOOR and GLAZ major group) *-****-LEVL Level or elevation changes (associated with the FLOR major group) *-****-MBND Material beyond (typically associated with the SECT and DETL major group) *-****-MCUT Material cut (typically associated with the SECT and DETL major group) *-****-MOVE Movable (associated with the WALL major group for movable partitions) *-****-NICN Not in Contract (associated with any major group) *-****-OTLN Outline (typically associated with the FLOR or ROOF major group for building outline) *-****-OVHD Overhead items (associated with the FLOR major group) *-****-PFIX Plumbing Fixtures (associated with the FLOR major group) *-****-POWR Power designations (typically associated with the FURN major group) *-****-PRHT Partial Height (associated with the WALL major group) *-****-RAIS Raised (associated with the FLOR major group) *-****-RDFF Return air diffusers (associated with the HVAC major group) *-****-RISR Stair Riser (associated with the FLOR major group) *-****-SDFF Supply diffusers (associated with the HVAC major group) *-****-SIGN Signage (associated with the FLOR major group) *-****-SILL Sill (typically used with the GLAZ and occasionally the DOOR major group) *-****-SPCL Specialties (associated with any major group for special information) *-****-STOR Storage systems (typically associated with the FURN major group) *-****-STRS Stair treads, escalators (associated with the FLOR major group) *-****-SUSP Suspended (typically associated with the CLNG major group) *-****-TPTN Toilet stall partitions (associated with the FLOR major group) *-****-WDWK Woodwork (associated with the FLOR major group) * Represents the Discipline Code -**** Represents the Major Group Civil Code: Description: *-****-BORE Test borings (used with the TOPO major group) *-****-BRNG Bearings and distances labels (used with the PROP major group) *-****-CARS Car symbols (used with the PKNG major group) *-****-CNTR Center lines (used with the ROAD major group) *-****-CONS Construction controls (used with the PROP major group) *-****-CURB Curbing (used with the ROAD major group) *-****-DRAN Drainage (used with the PKNG major group) *-****-ESMT Easements right of ways (used with the PROP major group) *-****-ISLD Parking islands (used with the PKNG major group) *-****-OVHD Overhead (used for any major group indicating items overhead) *-****-PLNT Plants and landscape material (used with the PLNT or TOPO major group) Architectural Desktop Basics through Advanced Appendix A用age 7 *-****-RTWL Retaining wall (used with the TOPO major group) *-****-SPOT Spot elevations (used with the TOPO major group) *-****-STRP Parking lot striping and symbols (used with the PKNG major group) *-****-UNDR Underground (used for any major group indicating items underground) * Represents the Discipline Code -**** Represents the Major Group Remember that the Minor Group is also considered a user-definable group. If you need to further describe a Major Group, then create a user-defined Minor designation. Any new designations you create must have only four characters. Status Field The Status Field also uses a four-character designation. This category is optional and is used to further describe the Major Group or the Major and Minor Group designations. For example, the layer name A-WALL- DEMO indicates an architectural Discipline Code and the Major Group walls, which can further be described, with a Status Field indicating the object is to be demolished. The Status Field is used to differentiate phases of work. The Status Field is always placed at the end of the layer name, whether it is after the Major or Minor Group to complete a full description of the item with its current status. The following lists describe the Status Fields included in the AIA Long Format layer standard as well as additional AIA layer guideline suggestions: Status Field Codes included with the AIA Long Format layer standard: Status Field Code Description *-****-DEMO Existing to demolish *-****-EXST Existing to remain *-****-NEWW New construction Additional Minor Group Codes suggested by the AIA guidelines: Status Field Code Description *-****-FUTR Future work *-****-MOVE Items to be moved Architectural Desktop Basics through Advanced Appendix A用age 8 *-****-NICN Items not in contract *-****-PHS1 Phase 1 *-****-PHS2 Phase 2 *-****-PHS3 Phase 3 *-****-PHS4 Phase 4 *-****-PHS5 Phase 5 *-****-PHS6 Phase 6 *-****-PHS7 Phase 7 *-****-PHS8 Phase 8 *-****-PHS9 Phase 9 *-****-RELO Items to be relocated *-****-TEMP Temporary work * Represents the Discipline Code -**** Represents the Major Group (the Status Field can also be placed...
