... as a child. From the age of 5, an age of tremendous vulnerability, I was forced to become a student to an individual of authority (teacher) with absolutely no say in most matters. How could I, I was only 5! I couldn’t tell the difference between a knife and fork at that age. I was told what to do and how to do it whether or not these assignments met my learning capabilities. These stages of teaching lead to corrupt learning methods and students must find alternative ways to be successful. In order to succeed in most public schools, you must accomplish at least one of, if not, all three of the following procedures that I like to call ways to become successful: 1) kiss the teacher’s ass, 2) do as your told and, at times, act against your morals and beliefs, or 3) voted by the students as the most simple method to success…CHEAT! And its not really about how smart you are, it more about how well you can complete these ways of becoming successful. These options of mine were minimal at best and they in no way fit my personality. I don’t kiss anyone’s ass, I hate cheating and cheaters more so, and I definitely hate going against my morals. What’s there for me in life then? I don’t like the way its going so far that’s for sure. And I’m not all too convinced that receiving a degree at Harvard and becoming a lawyer with lots of money will be any better. Right now I have everything I need and I’m not so sure a Mercedes Benz along with a mansion will make me feel any more fulfilled then what I have now, an 84’ Oldsmobile with provided townhouse provided to us by...
