Book Review: The Giver

...hey take a special pill that controls these hormones. The main characters name is Jonas. He was a twelve which means he was in the twelve year old group. Due to the fact that each age is divided up into groups. He was assigned a mother and father he also had a little sister. Versus everyone else in the community Jonas had a special power. Which the story explained as it continued. As the story continued Jonas started experiencing his power. This power no one had or could experience. Jonas started seeing little glimpses of color. He had gotten enough little glimpses to know that something was wrong. Enough for him to know that he had something else that no one else had. When Jonas had graduated from the twelve's he was given the job of being the job of being the communities receiver. He would take lessons from an elder. Who was the current receiver. Jonas would take private lessons that was not to be discussed out side of that room. The elder would give him memories. These memories we experienced everyday. For example the memory of snow the memory of death etc.. .But they were kept from them because the leaders wanted the community to be perfect in every way. Day after day he went to the elders office and took lessons from the elder. And the more and more he went the more he learned how the community was like a big fairy ...
