...odels she saw on the shows she watched. Themes and Topics: The main topic of this book was Anorexia. The struggling of Lori with anorexia, her trying to realise how much harm she was causing her body. Personal Response to Work: I liked many parts of this book because it helped me to understand how Lori’s attitude against her body was, and how she changed. I noticed that when I started reading this book it started inspiring me to become a psychologist. Basically, all the books that interest me are diary/journal entry books; where teens write about how they feel, thoughts, bad/good things that happen in their lives. After reading this book, first off I was happy that the book ended good because now Lori is a doctor, but also after reading, I knew and understood what exactly Lori was going through. Other Resources that may “tie in” with the book: There’s a poem I found a while back, and as soon as I read it Stick Figure popped into my head. This poem can truly connect with Stick Figure because a little girl who also struggled through anorexia wrote it. I'm Sooooo Fat I gaze into the mirror Overtaken by fear What will they say? What will I do? I'm fat, I'm sooooo fat.
