The ghost inside her mind, claiming to be Lenore, had been telling the real Lenore that she caused the death of her twin. Real Lenore began to wonder, “Could I actually have been somehow responsible for her death?” She is then determined to do what’s right. Her principles tell her she can’t live a lie and she needs to untangle this mess. At one point Lenore says “I had to remember. I had to know who I really was.” Lenore realizes that the picture she cut of the two of them was the key to finding out the truth. She is terrified of the truth.
