They sometimes eat small bugs like grasshoppers, beetles, caterpillars and small vertebrates. They also take advantage of almost any food. The bird also eats fruits. The bird will hold the nut with its feet and crack it open with his bill. The bird makes many sounds some are loud so are soft most sound like the bird is saying jay. They also can imitate the sound of a red shoulder Hawk. The nest is build out of small twigs moss, grass and sometimes paper and is shaped with mud the nest its self is probllay 18 cm in diameter the what is called the inner cup is about 10 cm. You can find nest about 8-20 feet high in trees or bushes. The female incubates her eggs sometimes the male feeds to female while she is laying her eggs. When the eggs hatch both male and female go get foods for the babies. There is usually 4-5 eggs laid together the eggs are bluish-greenish in color and are sometimes spotted with brown spots. Hatching takes about 16-18 day. When the babies are born they really can’t do anything but open their mouths to get food.
