They could never find this Al Morrison, which convinced them further that this man was in fact Al. He talked about the weapons used, the ropes that bound her hands together, the panties he shoved in her mouth so that her screams for help could not be heard, the way he beat and tortured her until she died, and how he placed her on boards over the bath tub where he cut her in half let her blood drain out and finally washed her up. A lot of evidence was ruined in the huge commotion caused by this murder and not many areas of forensics were used back then. Serology, autopsy, criminalistic experts, and fingerprint databases were used. Serology was used to see if she had been raped. No conclusive evidence was found on her body to prove that she had been (no semen). The fingerprint database helped to identify who the victim indeed was. The autopsy showed how she had died and provided more details of her death, but nothing that would help lead to the conclusion of who the murderer was. Criminalistic experts were used but no helpful footprints or tire tracks could be found on the scene. Her personal items were sent in the mail to the police. Fingerprinting was used but none could be found. They were all washed off with gasoline. The forensics showed that indeed this woman had been dead previously to being placed in the lot, her body had indeed been washed up and that she had lacerations all over her body.
