... her hood ,and stars accented her long boat-like shaped body. The final touch to her garments was the name “EVA” branded proudly on her back door. With Bertha newly dressed, Eva and I decided everyone at St. Clair High School should see her. On the last day of school Eva and I arrived at school and extra thirty minutes early to get the best parking spaces. (That is right, Eva and I parked her horizontally across three parking spaces.) Everyone that pulled into the Pit was sure to see this wonderful display of art work. Eva and I spent that summer in her wagon, loving every moment of it. But Eva grew up, and had to go off to college. Not only was I going to miss my sister, I was going to miss that car. Those wind blown summer evenings were filled with laughter and “Queen” blaring through her blown out speakers. (They had a very distinct sound) Those days that we would cruise through town just to have people stare at us in the ‘freak mobile’ or ‘the shaggin’ wagon’.
