...when they were in need, as opposed to today's hero who feels their duty is done after one feat. Today the world calls anyone and everyone who has performed one small deed a hero. Heroes can be both women and men, as opposed to the Anglo-Saxon time when women did not play a large role in the society. I believe that in today's society person who's jobs are dedicated to keeping the public safe and educating them are today's heroes. They have an ongoing battle with trying to keep evil and terrible things out of the societies and have a great sense of duty.
