This is why you have like 80 to 90 year old martial arts masters still performing their martial arts and being able to do amazing feats such as breaking bricks with their heads. Like I said before, Martial Arts training just don’t improve physical attributes. One of the more known benefits of martial arts training is the beneficial mental workout. Learning to execute techniques of martial arts requires extreme mental focus. Students need to concentrate under pressure; whether they're trying to break a wooden board or trying to execute a technique properly, it all needs a lot of concentration and focus. Students can apply this focus and concentration into academic studies as well. Martial arts training focus on the development of self-discipline in students. One can't become a black belt after just a few days of training, and so students learn that worthy goals will require a lot of hard work and patience. They learn that if it’s worth anything, it's worth waiting and working hard for. Kids also learn to listen to their parents because who do they listen to in martial arts class? Their instructors who are also like parents to them, and therefore they are more likely to develop good character traits.
