... going, I’ll give you a little background information about the author. Patricia was born April 26th in Brooklyn, New York. She attended Marymount College where she got her B.A., St. Johns University where she got her M.A., and then Hofstra University where she got her Professional Diploma in Reading and Doctorate of Humane Letters. Patricia currently lives in Weston, Connecticut. She says her inspiration for writing is her children and the children that she taught. Patricia is known for her series of “Kids of the Polk Street School”, her novel Lily’s Crossing, and her new novel Nory Ryan’s’ Song. The Mystery of the Blue Ring begins on a Thursday when Dawn and the rest of her art class begin to make vegetables out of clay, since it was “Good Vegetable Day”. When they were finished they washed their hands and cleaned up their mess. The next day Emily was crying in class, so the teacher announced that Emily’s’ ring was missing. That’s when Dawn decided she found a mystery that she wanted to try to solve. So, on Saturday morning Dawn decides she is going to sneak into Polk Street School and try to solve the mystery of the missing blue ring. When she gets to the school she realizes her classmate Jason is also sneaking into the school to also try and solve the mystery.
