...about how I was so careless and I would refuse to believe in what she was saying. At that time I was quite immature and didn't want to challenge myself. Everything seemed to be in an equilibrium until I found out in the summer of 2002 that I was going to move to Richland, Washington. This was horrible, I was leaving my city and all my friends. I had no clue what it was going to be like and when I had arrived I hated it. Richland seemed so small in comparison to where I had use to lived in Tacoma, WA. Throughout the entire summer all I could do is think about my past and how the future will be. As I spent time alone thinking, I began to understand what my mother had always stressed me about. I had lived life doing everything I wanted in the past, and never expected the present. I thought my life would always stay how I wanted it to be in my closed equilibrium. I began to ask myself who I will be in the distant future. I began to read numerous biographies of famous individuals to try to find out who I was. I read of a man named John Davison Rockefeller and I took great notice in his work. Since he was a child he set himself up to become a success. He monopolized the oil industry and he shared his hard earned wealth with others by donating 540 million dollars into numerous organizations. He applied himself to success and helped others. I was extremely fascinated by all of this surprising information. This is what I wanted to do. I began to understand who I was as an individual and how I could improve in my lacking areas.
