...earing that ball hitting the catchers’ mitt after throwing that hard fastball for a strike. I love hearing the fans on the side of the field cheering me on hoping that you win. When I’m not on the mound I’m in the dugout cheering on my teammates. Sitting in the dugout is almost as much fun as being out on the field for me. I get to hang out with the other pitchers and other players that aren’t playing. It’s kind of fun sitting in the dugout with my teammates. We always talk about anything and everything while we have a dip at the same time. My teammates and I would always talk about women, movies, and cars. It’s very relaxing on the field because there’s really not a lot of noise. The only noise I ever hear is players and fans cheering and coaches giving advice in a constructive way. The sound of that wood bat hitting that little white ball is something I will never forget. When I hear that crack of the bat it makes me get chills inside just because I love the sound. The smack of the ball hitting the catchers’ mitt when the pitcher throws him gas is one of the other things I hear that makes me get chills just because I love the sound. The smell of a fresh dip always gets me ready to play on those game days. The fresh grass makes the game go a lot better because the field looks so nice when the grass is cut to about a half inch high. The background of a baseball field is always pleasant to look at, too. When I see the Sears Tower sitting behind the center field fence I feel like there is not a better ballpark to play at while I’m in college. Another background that I always like to look at, when I’m on the bench or when I’m on the mound looking back at the scoreboard to see what the count and score is, is a bunch of trees and a nice little creek or river behind the fence.
