Also, why risk American lives in months and maybe years of fighting, when you can end the war with 1 simple bomb, in 1 day? It is common sense, the object in war is to defeat the enemy, and if necessary, use anything to do so, Japan left America no other choice than to drop the Atomic bomb that day, and I agree with the President’s decision, many American lives would have been taken away in an effort to do something in which 0 lives would be perished.
