The light rail line can be accessed in Hunt Valley, Maryland, less than 20 miles south of the Pennsylvania state line, which makes it an attractive option for air travelers from that area. The benefits of using the light rail service are obvious. The service would clearly benefit a day-trip business traveler whose trip begins in downtown Baltimore, as it could eliminate the need to drive altogether. And, for those who are currently making 150-mile (or more) round trips from Pennsylvania to use BWI, the light rail option could save them more than 100 miles of driving, and eliminate parking costs (light rail parking lots are free).
