Armenian Genocide

...argeted Armenians everywhere, being a particular race, and the announcement of their extermination, it is basically a dictionary definition of genocide. The Lttihad Central Committee announced their decision to exterminate the Armenians. This resulted in what they called “mass arrests”. Much more happened than people just being arrested. To be more accurate with what went on there was murder, starvation, torture, rape, and public hangings to invoke fear into the people. The government did nothing to stop any of this from happening; in fact the interior ministry issued instructions. The instructions included for Armenian villages to be settled by Muslims and Armenian orphans to be given to Muslim homes. This genocide went somewhat unnoticed until it was too late because of World War I. The war distracted many countries especially from countries not involved in fighting the war. Future genocides can be prevented with action from other countries. Other countries action will be possibly the only way to stop future genocides.
