It begins with each member of staff preparing or up-dating a curriculum vitae. Appraisal is also an opportunity for the member of staff to review the job description/profile and amend or update it as necessary. In addition staff should complete a sheet indicating, in the context of defined departmental aims and objectives, the contribution they consider they have made during the appraisal period under review. This should be compared to the aims and objectives determined at the previous review and any reasons for non-achievement should be noted. The submission of the progress report is followed by an interview between the appraiser and the appraisee.
