He believed that “war wins nothing, cures nothing, ends nothing.” and that “…in war there are no winners, but all are losers.” Many people believed that when Hitler announced that he meant to do something, it was certain that he would do it; therefore, when Hitler said that once the situation of Sudetenland was settled he had no more ambitions of conquering other countries in Europe, Chamberlain believed every word that he said.
