It’s hard to imagine all the hardships that the people of Europe went thru a lot before the age of expansion began. I learned from the reading that the country went thru a killer plague that nearly wiped out half of the population, people also dealt with internal conflicts such as the disagreements between the Protestants and the Catholics. In addition to that there was always internal conflict between the different social classes. I realized after the reading that people were very religious until they found out about all the politics and scandals in the church. It relates to our country and the government.
