...texture. Glass lay in various spots where a window once was on the first floor. Once majestic and well nurtured yews, lay helpless while being over taken by various vine weeds and morning glory. Dried up flowers lay flat on their backs along the walkway, looking almost human with leafs spread out and the head to one side. Entering thru the double, victorian style doors, dust fell like snow. The doors once opened revealed a foyer. A grandfather clock stood proud straight ahead. It was run down and full of mouse nests. It would chime every hour with a frightening song made up of unplanned tones and chimes. Gears would grind against one another and the hour hands would make a whining pitch. To both sides of the wall the clock stood against were hallways. A staircase wound up on both sides of the room. A hallway at the bottom of each stair well led to darkness. A chandelier hung over the center of the room. Sunlight would hit the crystals of the chandelier and cause rainbow colored spots to over take the walls.
