Wine can be classified in three groups: red wine, white wine and sparkling wine. Wine is made from grape juice that has been crushed and placed in a warm room to ferment. The last form of alcoholic beverages is a distilled beverage. A distilled beverage is a hard liquor like vodka, gin, jenever, and whiskey. “They are all called the water of life”. ( pg..) Alcoholism is a disorder by repeated excessive use of alcoholic beverages . Alcohol is a depressant that puts the brain to sleep. Alcohol as serious side affects on the body and brain. Its affects judgement, coordination, reasoning, memory, intelligence, memory and senses. How much alcohol you consume and how regularly can determine the damage that takes place. The most effected part of the alcohol consumption is bad judgement. An example of this would be the most common judgement mistake while under the influence. It`s called “regrettable sex” -sexual encounters you later regret. When drinking, your memory can become vague, not remembering what was the last thing that you did or where you were. Your vision may become blurry and your surroundings may become foggy. You eyes may become red and that will add to the blurry vision. Drinking can also mortify and harm oesophagus outline (online). Alcohol also weakens the heart muscle and ability to pump, heart enlargement, irregular heart beat, increases blood pressure and the risk of heart attack and strokes. It`s effects on the brain acts a sedative on the Central Nervous system, depressing the nerve cells and altering their ability to respond and large doses could cause death. The alcohol on the brain reduces the amount of brain tissue and also deprives the brain of it`s vitamins it needs.
