Discrimination is not only present in prison, but in everday life. In Florida, a black person is seventy five percent more likely to be pulled over by a police than a white person. In 1991 in an ABC exclusive with, a white and black male with similar prefences were filmed to see the daily discrimination in its works. The white male received lower prices at car dealerships while the black male didn't receive any. Along with the unfair discount, white male didn't arouse any attention from the police, but on the other hand, police cars slowed down to take notice of the black male. Discrimination is a constant problem in the United States. But there are many ways to battle this discrimination. One solution is to keep affirmative action in check in institutions where there is imbalance. Another solution to promote equality in America is to have discrimination awareness throughout the country and to nationally encourage social equality. In 1965, President Lyndon Johnson introduced affirmative action to reduce discrimination and improve equal rights among all races. By implenting affirmative action among all institutions where there are racial imbalances, it will reduce discrimination.
