Text messaging is a lot more convenient than letter writing because you can type a message and send it to somebody and he or she will receive it in just one minute. This is becoming a popular development because sometimes people do not have time to talk on their cellular phones so they find it easier to just relay messages back and forth over the cell phone by text messaging. Cell phones also have another special feature known as the walkie- talkie feature or also called the direct connect feature. This feature allows people to push one button and connect to another user and be able to talk for free as long as he or she is in the local calling range. People find this really convenient to use and a lot less time consuming. A major technology known as e-mail or web mail came about in the early nineteen-seventies. E-mail has become one of the most frequently used sourced of communication along with the telephone and cell phones. Many people relay messages to others across the world with e-mail. A big attraction of e-mail is that it is not expensive and some web mail is even free. This allows people to stay in touch with their close ones all over the world for free compared to telephones that cost large amounts to call out of country. E-mail is so convenient because it just takes a few seconds to send someone a message and receive a message from somebody. E-mail can even be checked and read on cellular phones. Along with e-mail, people are also able to communicate with friends with things such as instant messenger and chat rooms on the internet.
