Another positive effect of adoption is that I think it will lower the amount of crime and violence over time. Research has shown that children who grow up as orphans or in a loveless family are more likely to commit crimes, abuse drugs or act violently when they are older. I think this is because they were probably very lonely growing up and felt like they were alone in the world and no one loved them. This kind of life often makes people very angry inside and no one takes the time to teach them what is right and wrong. But if these orphans were adopted, they would have a chance to grow up in a nice family and would hopefully not feel like they have to do bad things. People who are raised in an environment of a loving family know how to live a normal life. They are less likely to steal or use drugs when they feel bad or use violence to try and solve problems. Finally, if people adopted kids instead of having them then the over-populated countries would not have such a big problem and they could have a chance to fix other problems in their society.
