...ke care of a child at the age of fifty five, if they baby is a mistake and she just doesn’t want another one, or maybe she is career focused and doesn’t have the time for a child, does that mean someone should be able to make the decision that she has to have a child? Also, some women aren’t physically fit enough to have a child. They accidentally get pregnant and get told that they have a chance of dying if the baby is born. A women should not have to risk her own life for a child that won’t even end up with a mother, and in some cases a father. Some families have inherited problems in their family. Some women are too old to be pregnant and there is a risk the child will be retarded or have birth defects. And in come cases incest causes pregnancy, and there is chance of psychological and physical damage to the child. For all of these reasons, women should have the choice to get an abortion. No parent wants to watch a child suffer with major physical or mental illnesses. It wouldn’t be fair to the child or the parent. The child, in some cases may have to live knowing it has a problem and will die by the time it is no more then thirty, and some will have to live in a wheelchair or with a brain problem. Parents would have to live knowing that once their gone they would have to find someone to take care of their child. And some will have to watch their child grow up and wonder if it will be able to read or count, or even walk. Many sexually active teenagers make mistakes or have an accident. Some forgot to take their pills, or the condom broke, they missed a shot or they were careless and didn’t use protection at all. In some of these cases, the teenage girl either took an emergency contraceptive pill, but in many, the teenage girl got pregnant. And in some of these cases, the girl has heavy family problems, an abusive boyfriend, a drug addiction, or just don’t care.
