Abortion
...nt. Abortion isn’t to be taken easily. You have to be physically and emotionally stable to make this decision. You can’t flip a coin to help you decide, you have to learn the facts from both sides to make a well thought out decision. It’s a really big deal, to you and the person growing inside, something that you helped make that depends on you. In some movies or books I’ve read it states that women would rather kill the person inside of them than give it up for adoption because they wouldn’t and couldn’t live if they knew that someone who was once part of them is now someone out in the world not knowing who their real mother is. What the movies or books don’t say is that if the child grew up not knowing who their real mother was they should at least be happy that their mother didn’t have an abortion, but instead chose to keep them alive. The other reason they should be happy is because a married couple who couldn’t have children chose them out of all of the other children and made him or her a part of their family and kept them safe from harms grasp. I didn’t know that much about abortion other than it’s when you get rid of an unborn child. I went to the library and checked out a book about it. When I brought it up to the counter the librarian looked at me funny, like I was the one thinking about having an abortion. I didn’t like the feeling of being looked down on. But then for that brief moment I was able to walk in those many shoes of pregnant women and I kind of felt the way they did even though it’s not the same. I feel bad for all of those women who want to have an abortion because they are ashamed of themselves. An abortion is the fast way out. It’s the short cut for g...
