A Very Short Look at the Fall of Rome
... even it's longevity as a unified country. Roman accomplishments are seen as nothing less than amazing today. People were regularly educated enough to read and write. It’s government was one of the people...a republic. Rome had a set of laws enforced to ensure order in society. Christianity was regularly practiced. Architecture was at it’s peak, hardly surpassed even today. It’s army was the most powerful of any other known to man, and was responsible for expanding Rome to it’s amazing size. The road system was a durable and widespread one. Unbelievably, Rome was comparable then to us now, almost 2000 years later. We have gained much from Rome.
