a Story about me

...dog fan, cats are my love, but my dogs hold a special place in my heart. Jake is a pound puppy that we got when we first moved south. In his younger days, Jake could run fast and defend our house. One time, he woke my parents up when an intruder broke into our house! The second, younger dog, Winston was a gift to my mom because he looks like a miniature, fatter version of an Irish wolfhound, my mom’s favorite dog. He is a happy black mop that loves laps. My other five lap lovers are my cats, four of which are family. We got the mother years ago when my dad was working as a landscaper to repair the devastating damage of Hurricane Andrew, he found her and her brother, two stray kittens. We kept the female; she grew up to a hormone driven teenager and after three litters and 26 kittens, we were three kittens richer. A few months ago, we acquired our fifth (and my dad says final) cat. Although, just recently I began teaching a friend of mine the basics, and that has been a learning experience for me also. I continued my musical fantasy by learning the flue in the middle school band. I really enjoyed band and even though I didn’t always think so at the time, I had a pretty good teacher. We did marching band and I was faithfully there every week. Many of my friends at the time were also in band, one of which I am still very close to today, and so it’s not unbelievable that we had a great time. I continued marching band through my two years at Martin County High School. However, in high school the band was more disciplined and less fun. It lost it’s sparkle and when I left that school, I had no desire to pursue any future in marching band, but I’ll still toot on my flute every now and then. Also in high school, my best friend to this day, my marching band friend and I were on the weightlifting team together. The three of us had a riot while getting in shape. We went to competitions a...
