A small peice on Jean Baudrillard
...ich also convey his feelings and emotions towards the world today. What people are contemplating on their word-processor screens is the operation of their own brains. It is not entrails that we try to interpret these days, nor even hearts or facial expressions; it is, quite simply, the brain. We want to expose to view its billions of connections and watch it Baudrillard has always seemed to have a very negative and frustrated outlook on the World and how its people run there day too day lives, feeding and living off one another, only interested in material possessions and wealth, but not on the person as a human being. The simulacrum is true.” In this modern age of the ‘information super highway’, the ‘gigabyte’ and ‘virtual reality’, the simulacra is no longer the unreal idea it once was, it is the ‘real’ reality which we live in, a hyperreality we are ‘breast fed’. Baudrillards theory on simulacrum can be best described by using Disneyworld as an example, in Disneyworld there is a part of the park based upon the 1995 Oscar winner The Lion King, inside this part of the park there i...
