A significant experience that was so meaningful for me
...m people that did not speak my native language. I learned how to socialize with other people. I learned that I couldn’t live alone in this world, family was important and it was hard to stay away from them. I also learned how to speak English, the language that is important in communication with other people. Before I came to America, I studied in Indonesia. The school I went to was one of the best schools in Indonesia , but the education system was not as good as American’s. In Indonesia all the grade depended on only one big test in each quarter. If students did not pay attention in class, teachers did not care because students that failed the test could retake the exam. My father and mother studied in America and they liked American’s education system that was why they sent me here. Coming to study in America was not easy, and our family needed to spend a lot of money. Education is important for everybody, but not everybody gets it.
