...er about how the social classes were divided in the first stages of this country. The most useful information I got out of the third chapter was how the social classes were divided. There were really only two classes. There were the wealthy land owners and there were the black slaves and white servants. The land owners had all the money, so they controlled everything. While the servants had nothing, they owed no land they had no political powers. With this division within the people not all were going to agree with this. While most of the white servants were voluntary, they would sign contracts with there masters and serve then till the contracts were up. There were masters that would treat there servants unfair. They would not give them sufficient amount of food, unhealthy working conditions. This and other reasons led to many rebellions by the servants. They would escape there masters and run away. They would band together get weapons and revolt. Some would burn down houses, and city buildings. The masters would tell there servants they could date other people...
