A Child's Paradise
...f in it. Outside my back door were two big, beautiful lilac bushes. One with purple blossoms and the other with white. Down the drive and next to my mother’s flower garden was the best climbing tree in the world. Across the yard, at the bottom of a sloping hill, was a bright blue swingset my father had painted for me the previous spring. Every morning I ran out that door, I was greeted with the fragrant smell of lilacs. As I skipped down the drive, the sweet smell of mom’s flower garden would overtake me. Then, running to the swingset, I would inevitably sneeze from the smell of freshly cut grass. Sitting in my favorite swing, I could hear the birds singing their daily songs.
