...for the environment. Imagine how many cars are in the world and how much gas each one burns in a week, that’s a whole lot of pollution. Even if half the cars in the world switched to electric powered, that’s half the amount of pollution that used to be coming out of tail pipes. I don’t know if this will ever go through though because the government would put up a huge fuss because of how much money they make off gas taxes. Plus big car companies like GM Motors, Ford, etc might find making electric cars too expensive to produce. Genetically modified foods are not the best solution to feed the world. In theory, this method could work. It has been proven that genetically modified products, are in many cases superior. They have the ability to grow at quicker rates, are less susceptible to common disease and insects, often grow larger and of higher quality. While these characteristics are all beneficial, they could not realistically be made available to those who are the most in need. This technology is advanced and not necessarily inexpensive. The impoverished, such as those is underdeveloped countries, could not realistically gain access to and properly institute this technology given poverty and limited resources. In addition, the primary cause of hunger is unequal distribution, a condition that genetically modified food does not promise to change. Historically people always provided themselves with their own food. Everyone used to grow and farm their own crops or catch fish so they knew what kind of quality food they were going to receive. Today, this is not realistic. There are too many different jobs now days. People are interested in the jobs with better pay. Farmers are making less and less money and the working conditions are becoming harder and harder. I don’t think people appreciate farmers as much as we should. People take for granted the food we have in our grocery stores. I don’t think this will get any better in the future, I would say it will only keep getting worse. Maybe in the future small communities will have more power deciding against big companies and will get a say about what’s going on. Big companie...
