... 1-3) Juliet tries to accept the instructions given by her mother, Lady Capulet explaining she will try to love Paris as best she can. She shows obedience and some determination as she tries to see a future with Paris solely for her mother’s sake. Juliet, although deep in love with Romeo, recognizes and criticizes his sudden, rash decisions: “O, swear not by the moon, th’ inconstant moon, That monthly changes in her circled orb, Lest that thy love prove likewise variable.” (II. ii. 1-3) Juliet is more mature in comparison to Romeo because she is more mindful of the actions and the consequences as she warns Romeo about moving too fast. “With love’s light wings did I o’erperch these walls, For stony limits cannot hold love out, And what love can do, that dares love attempt. Therefore thy kinsmen are no stop to me.” As the story moves on, Juliet begins to develop even more adult characteristics. Juliet goes to Friar Lawrence, to solve the problem of Paris and they devise a plan so Juliet can be with Romeo instead of Paris. As she goes back home, she takes the sleeping potion, but not before again thinking about the consequences and the outcome: “Come, Vial.
