... realises how frail life is and the misconception of it being meaningful. One would argue that life is full of wonderful aspects that we should strive to live life to the fullest, but Macbeth's recognition of how he has lived and what he has done, has brought forth new light to him which is, 'life is a tale which can only go on but "signifying nothing"' In my opinion, there a is a doulbe meaning to Macbeth's words. He shows us how meaningless his life is along with his feelings of hopelessness but he also seems to say that all of his crimes are meaningless rather than evil, for life is "full of sound and fury"..."signifying nothing". It is as though he is going through a self-justifying phase, where he is trying to convince himself that his crimes do not matter; but we as readers understand that it is not really how short life is, it is how you preceive life, accept life and live life to the best of your abilities. In my opinion, Macbeth sees how what he thought life was once all about, changes because of what he has done and what he has gone through.
