On the contrary, Lady Jaqueline has here eye on Bill Snibson for herself, even though she is already engaged. Bill is now encouraged to marry Sally, but she doesn’t want to ruin his chances as Earl because she is below “his station” now. She tells him to marry someone with “good blood” and with that, she leaves. She eventually returns in a gown and speaking proper English to be with Bill. This musical was very entertaining. I liked the costumes and the scenery. The performers were in sync with each other. From what we learned in class, it seemed as though the actors and actresses were not only reciting their lines, but they were feeding off of one another. The lines were not just rehearsed words, but when they began to speak, it was not because it was coming from memorization, but because they were putting themselves in the place of their characters and having a conversation.
