Why I would like to work abroad
... I am currently in my third year at Purdue University, pursuing a Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, supplemented by a minor in Economics. ... Even though I have not had the opportunity to use my knowledge and understanding of the science in a real-world working environment, laboratory experiments that I have completed for various courses have sufficed to quench my momentary curiosities. ... My interest and appreciation towards Industrial Engineering has ripened with each course that I completed and has introduced me to the many possible career paths that I could follow. I learned about IAESTE (International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience) in the year 2002, through my networks within the school of Engineering. Since studying abroad was already undertaken, my next goal was to apply for an internship abroad. My initiative was to get aid from the work-abroad program to develop my professional career. Since then, I have been actively involved in IAESTE as a member.
