In the construction of No Sugar, Davis has made particular use of character to develop and reveal the issues surrounding the Aboriginal people and their treatment during the great depression. This use of character by Davis links with his use of stereotyping and hypocrisy in the story, which allows him to both challenge and endorse the many ‘black’ orientated beliefs while revealing the white hypocrisy of the society in which they lived. The recent approval of PBS to fund cholinesterase inhibitors (CIs) for use in Alzheimer’s dementia was felt to increase the referrals to our Aged Care Service. Referrals specifically requesting CIs may be a group of patients with differing characteristics.
