... The Dells being a rock filled area with brush and some trees makes for a good hiking trip but lacks scenery. But Mingus Mountain has beautiful scenery with many "off-road" type roads that lead all over the mountain. While the Dells are better for a short stay, Mingus is great for staying in one of their recreational areas for a night as well as a quick trip. ... The Dells have a great variety of hiking and climbing but if you want nice scenery Mingus Mountain is the place to go.
