Introduction On radio
Radios have become an everyday device used around the world by most people. ... With the use of radio technology we can now help and aid people. ... If ambulances didn’t have radio communications, they would struggle to meet the demands of emergency call outs.
Task
As part of our task, we have been told that we have to construct a radio from scratch using materials provided in the laboratories. This means we have to get to know all the different parts of the radio and become familiar with where they have to be soldered onto the circuit. Further more, we have to also understand how these components work along side each other and what the result would be of constructing a working radio.
Aim
Our aim is to produce an analogue working radio which can tune into at least one local radio station. ...
However we are only using the AM frequencies (amplitude modulation) which mean our radio will be limited to the number of different stations it can pick up.
Investigation
Before we can begin to design compile the radio, we have to do a small amount of background investigation.
