Othello: Deception
I choose the topic of deception to show the audience that Iago is not just deceiving and using people so he can have the best for himself, but to show the audience that he has always been a very cunning and deceiving person. In the beginning he is talking about how he is not what he presents himself as. He only puts on an act out of the love for his duty. Also during the play he uses different techniques to deceive the other characters in the play. These involve twisting people’s stories ad words to try and get the other person to believe what Iago is saying to them.
