Christine Wood Language arts per-5 May 10th, 2001 Final Draft: Discrimination Did you know that 40 years ago people who did not have white skin had to go to different schools? Today schools are very mixed. 63.9% of our student body is white; the other 62.1 % are of a different race. Evidence of racial discrimination and non-discrimination can be found in the mass media, in stories others have told me and from my own personal experience. In the U.S. today I believe that there is little racial discrimination. In the mass media today there is little racial discrimination. The evidence that I have to prove this is the Primetime Live video, including two guys John and Glen. John is white and Glen is African-American. It showed lots of evidence of racial discrimination happening a lot to Glen. So. You may ask how does this show that there is little discrimination? The news anchorwoman said at the beginning of the show that they experienced several incidences of equal treatment. Therefore the cases of equal treatment were edited out. Also the show wasn’t very recent.
