Adultery is not only a reality for non-Christians but for Christians as well as. ... ” Adultery is in our society and is now in the church. The seventh commandment states “Thou shalt not commit adultery”. So as believers we know that adultery is a major sin in the sight of God. Many have defined adultery in different ways. Some say that you only commit adultery if you actually have sex with another person. Some say that the very act of spending quality time and/or sharing intimate details with someone is considered adultery. ... Moreover, God makes clear His position on adultery. So why do we fall into the trap of adultery and/or infidelity? There are many reasons why one may commit adultery or be unfaithful to their partner. ... In addition, many theologians, as well as lay persons, would interpret the scriptures to say that infidelity is the one reason that God would allow divorce according to Matthew 5:32, 19:9 (KJV):
But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness
(sexual moraity), causes her to become an adultress, and anyone who marries the
divorce woman commits adultery. ... 5:32
I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness
