In Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, the main point of this book is finding comfort and refuge for one of the main characters. Frankenstein is created by Doctor Victor Frankenstein which he, Doctor Frankenstein, is convinced that the monster he created is the ultimate and most perfect creature. ... Throughout the book, Frankenstein was neglected by his creator and was turned away and feared by all of society. ... The only problem with fitting in for Frankenstein is that he is so grotesque that nobody is willing to do that. ... ” The first time that Frankenstein ever encountered a human being, the man turned and fled, confusing Frankenstein but at the same time showing just how much he wouldn’t fit in into the society that was all around him. ... In another example, Frankenstein finds himself outside of a cottage watching a family go on about their daily lives. ... Unbeknownst to the people who lived in the cottage, Frankenstein learned how to speak and read and often thought about presenting himself to the family. ... When they returned they found Frankenstein talking with the De Lacey and became enraged. In chapter 15 page 119, Frankenstein is again turned down by society; “At that moment I heard the footsteps of my younger protectors.
