Management Review Process
1 The Management Review Process 1.1 Objective The objective of a management review is to provide recommendations for the following: ú Making activities progress according to plan, based on an evaluation of product development status; ú Changing project direction or to identify the need for alternative planning; ú Identifying gaps between application development standards, such as the Comprehensive Delivery Process, and project processes, activities, or artifacts; ú Maintaining global control of the project through adequate allocation of resources. The management review process can be applied to new development or to maintenance activities. Many of the activities performed during a management review duplicate processes and procedures invoked by the Comprehensive Delivery Framework’s governance process as well as good program and project management. Before invoking a management review, every consideration should be given to the results to be obtained by governance and sound management practices. ... 2 Abstract A management review is a formal evaluation of a project level plan or project status relative to that plan by a designated review team. Management review team members will be assigned by the Qwest Enterprise Quality Management Quality Assurance & Assessment (EQM QA&A) group manager. Review team members will be limited to the EQM QA&A staff. During the review meeting the entire review team examines plans or progress against plans, standards, and guidelines, or both. Each problem area identified by the review team is recorded. When critical data and information cannot be supplied, then an additional meeting shall be scheduled to complete the management review process.
