I think that Visalia was a stepping stone we had to cross. Even though we did not receive Superior, it worked out alright because the fact that we received an excellent motivated us to work even harder for San Luis Obispo. That paid off because we did Superior at San Luis Obispo. My God Is A Rock was our strongest piece at Visalia. We did miss some of the pitches and rhythms but it still came out as a strong piece. Grant did an outstanding job in his solo and the whole audience loved it. The tenors did a good job for most of the song there were just a few places where we were off pitch, but we stayed on most of the rhythms. One thing that hurt us a lot also was the fact that no one really got into the music. We all were just singing to sing. We didn’t make the music our own and put a lot of energy in to it which is what we need to get a superior. Daemon was also done very well.
